France Empire Napoleon III 1852-1870 

 

A lange and rare Empire cut crystal, certainly Baccarat but unsigned, bronze gilded perfume bottle. 

Classical decoration of winged sphinxes and dancing women with different attributes surrounded by cornucopia and acanthus leaf borders. 

The stopper with the Empirical Eagle and laurel wreath symbolising the Emperor's power and might. 
 

In very good condition overall, normal wear to the ormulu and one or two minuscule flee bites to the cut crystal.

It has a little hole in it so it can be suspended on a kitchen or dining room wall.
This rarity might have had a practical use also in it's day but at the present it's a decorative curiosity. 
 

It's in fair too good condition, little chips around the edges.

A rare confectionery letter or stationary box of high quality made for the famous Confectionery Master Boissier. 
Typical Napoleon III period; made of cardboard, paper, dark brown leather and gilding.  
With a silk inside lining and in good working order. No key. 

Boissier were known for their luxurious boxes and packaging, representing their sugar works and chocolate delights in a spectacular way. 

 

Little user wear, normal rubbing and tiny imperfections to the base back corners. Not noticeable.

A very artistic copper patinated table lamp in the shape of a beautiful siren with long hair standing on a wavy foot. Unsigned but a detailed cast and of very high quality. 

In good condition. Incredible polychrome feeling because of the richly colored patina. 
 

It is in good working order, electrification of a later date and  practical.

A rare pair of naughty Art deco porcelain Pekingese dog book supports.

The factory was in production untill 1942. These figures were made before 1934, the factory mark underneath was used between 1900-1934. Numbered and a real pair. 
 

They are in very good condition.

Last picture comes from The Met site, in their collection this first quarter XIII century copper enamels-champlevé plaque. The inspiration for the jeweler and artist Ojer.

A very near pair of heavy hinged pin silver bracelets that were handmade using a traditional technique called 'gajre' or 'goli': lots of very small silver massive balls which aren't welded to the base but attached with a silver wire that leaves them slight movement. 
 

They are often worn in pairs or a pair on each arm by Rajasthani women. 
 

This near pair us in good condition, normal wear and lovely silver patina. Very wearable. From a private collection.
